Another "golden" age is gone...

Aaron Spelling has passed away at the age of 83. (List of credits here.)
I didn't get into a lot of his later stuff, but I tell you, growing up in the 70's & 80's, you pretty much couldn't watch tv without hitting something he'd done...I was a HUGE Love Boat and Fantasy Island fan, I'll admit. Not to mention Charlie's Angels.
In reading the IMDb listing above, though, I discovered he did one of the most profound movies I ever watched, And The Band Played On, about AIDS (based on the book by Randy Shilts.)
Never much cared for his kid (Tori), although in reading the news story I found out his first wife was "Morticia", Carolyn Jones...hubba hubba. ;)
Anyway, thanks for bringing us lots of sometimes mindless, sometimes enriching entertainment.
What is remembered, lives.
