I don't have any veterans in my immediate family; my Dad did a stint in the Army somewhere between Korea & Vietnam, but he may have been Reserves - I don't recall. A great-uncle fought in the Battle of the Bulge, though.

Tony's Dad was in Vietnam...but that's a story for him to tell.

However, each day I gripe about the government - or worship whomever I please - or vote, for that matter - I *do*, in fact, thank a veteran. I might be a pacifist (in general), but I must respect those who have chosen a different path - especially so I can chose the path I have.

So for those of you who are on my Friends List who are veterans - THANK YOU. For those of you who have (or have lost) family members who are/were veterans - THANK YOU. For each and every member of the Armed Forces who care enough even to fight a war I never wanted - THANK YOU.

And those of you, like me, who have never had a veteran in their close family, find one & say THANK YOU.
